ANXIETY COACHING
Anxiety coaching for calm you can count on.
Nothing has gone wrong yet, but you are already bracing for it: the deal that might fall through, the mistake someone might spot. Anxiety is not a flaw in who you are. Often it is something your mind does, a pattern it has practised, which means it can be unpractised. Anxiety coaching lets you reclaim your headspace, so you are the one choosing again, not just reacting.
Does any of this sound familiar?
Underneath anxiety there is usually a low hum of dread, and it tends to have a voice. For some leaders it says, “I’m going to get this wrong.” For others it is “What will they think of me?” or “One slip and I could lose everything.” Most recognise one or two of these.
- When things are going well, you wait for the catch
- You paint the worst picture in vivid detail, then react as if it is real
- Decisions take longer, because you are already living out the worst outcome
- You lie awake worrying about tomorrow before it has started
- You cannot enjoy the moment in front of you
- Your chest is tight and your jaw is clenched, even on a quiet day
Your mind is trying to protect you. It has become an expert at guarding against things that have not happened yet, and it raises the same alarm for a tricky email as for a real crisis. With practice, you can teach it the difference and keep your edge without the constant strain.
If it has already tipped into exhaustion, see my Burnout Coaching page. Anxiety and overthinking often feed each other, so you may also find my Coaching for Overthinking page helpful. If the cause is simply too much on your plate, see Overwhelm Coaching.
What calm feels like
Calm is not a weekend away or a breathing exercise you forget by Wednesday. It is trusting yourself to handle whatever comes, so you stop living through it in advance.
- Problems get your attention when they actually need it
- Good news gets to feel good
- You make better decisions, from a space of clarity, confidence and calm
- You walk into a room of new people and stay yourself
- You feel at ease in your mind and body
- You are fully there with the people who matter
How we build it
Anxiety coaching goes deeper than managing how you feel in the moment. We work on what keeps your system on edge in the first place, using my MAP Framework.
Mindset
We look at the thinking that keeps you braced, and the beliefs underneath it. You learn which worries deserve your attention, and which you can let pass.
Actions
You learn a technique to shift from stress to calm in seconds, so you can handle whatever comes your way with a clear head.
Priorities
We realign your time and energy with what matters to you, so you spend less of it on what might happen and more on what you want to happen.

Coaching is not therapy or a treatment for an anxiety disorder. If anxiety is stopping you getting through the day or you are having panic attacks, please speak to your GP first. Coaching can sit alongside that support.
