Be yourself. There is enough of everyone else.
You could fill a whole book on all the things you’re not, and all the things you can’t do. But that would leave you feeling like a failure and get you nowhere – other than down and out.
Wouldn’t you rather base the narrative on who you actually are, capitalising on all the great things you can do, and work from there?
Because that’s where you can be your best, get more done, and feel better within yourself – just by being YOU.
That doesn’t mean ignoring key tasks, or skills you may need to have to do your job well or live your life fully.
Instead it’s about being smart with your time, talent and energy.
For example, why write with your right hand when you’re naturally left-handed?
The thing is, most people don’t know (or admit to) half their strengths! They’re too busy focusing on their weaknesses.
That is why I love running the workshop session below.
It feels great when leaders fully wake up to how gifted they are; either by realizing strengths they never realized they had, or by acknowledging strengths they under-use, because they erroneously assume everyone else has them too.
Strengths that they could lean into straight away, and that would make such a huge difference to their lives; personally and professionally.
In this 60-minute video workshop, in collaboration with The Raffles Crew I will help you:
- Clearly articulate your unique character strengths
- Explore where they are already showing up and where they are being underused
- Apply them to your work, life and relationships immediately
You will need pen, paper and a curious mind.
p.s. In the video, I mention a free survey created by the University of Pennsylvania (the architects behind the positive psychology movement). You can access this here – Via Character Strengths Survey.
