Poem: Do Not Be Complacent With Your Life ...

Do not be complacent with your life

And waste it on what-ifs

Do not wish your days away

And live outside your bliss.

Your youthful looks will fade away

Your careers will come and go

Your memories will dissipate

With all their highs and lows.

The sands of time falls faithfully

And soon we too shall pass

We’ll leave a trace upon the wind

But even that won’t last.

We remain in the hearts of others

On every life we touch

So live life to the fullest

And don’t doubt yourself so much.

Tell those close to you, you love them

Show them how much you care

Drop your guard, be vulnerable

Open up and share.

Savor all of this miraculous life

In gratitude and wonder

Know you are perfect just as you are

Too precious a gift to squander.
