The Importance of Dreams and Play
When we dream at night, our brain is busy trying out lots of different scenarios. We dress-rehearse, categorize, problem solve and adapt. We use all of our brain to create possibilities.
It's similar with Play.
Children are masters of play. They play in the present, without thinking “it has to look like this!” or worrying “what if it goes wrong? What if I fail?”
Both dreaming and playing are entirely un-self-conscious states of mind.
So how can we capture the essence of this in our day to day? How can we leverage the power of dreams and play to create more possibility and spaciousness in our lives?
